The hammer came down with over $10.4 million in sales at Antiquorum's recent auction in Hong Kong.
This past weekend, Antiquorum wrapped up their "Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces?auction in Hong Kong with total sales reaching over $10.4 million. Amid the over 700 pieces up for sale, the brands that commanded the highest bids included Patek Philippe, Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Girard-Perregaux and Vacheron Constantin.

Among the Patek Philippe offerings, some of the standout watches included the Ref. 5033P Minute Repeater Perpetual Calendar Platinum with diamonds, a rare 18k yellow gold Ref. 2499 Third Series from 1969 and the Ref. 5711 Jumbo Nautilus Platinum Ruby, one of only five ever produced.
Rolex also had a robust showing at the auction boasting 116 pieces in the catalogue with a rare 14k gold Cosmograph Daytona "Paul Newman?from 1969, an exquisitely embellished GMT Master II in yellow gold with diamonds and black sapphires and a rare 1969 Daytona Tropical Sub-Dials in steel, all fetching a higher price than its highest estimate.
